Excel’s level-funded plan designs offers a simplified alternative to traditional employer self-insured health plans while providing similar advantages of cost savings and flexibility. For employers, this approach utilizes stop-loss insurance to limit the employer’s liability. For employees, the plans operate similarly to typical employer health insurance plans (deductibles, co-pay etc.) but with added advantages such as the Disappearing Deductible and specialized programs for items such as durable medical equipment, diabetic needs and more.
